Following the designation of the land to the north of this site as Special Protection Area; it is doubtful as to whether any housing can now be built on this site. Anyone having an interest in this site should contact the Planning Policy and Conservation Team for further information.
The Council's Environment Committee approved a planning brief for 83 College Ride, Bagshot on 17th January 2002.
The brief will be of benefit to:
a) the Council in the exercise of its development control function;
b) potential developers of the site;
c) local residents and organisations; and
d) service providers
In summary the main planning requirements for this site are:
a) About 30 dwellings (29 net) are to be provided in period 2001-2006
b) 8 of the 30 dwellings are to be affordable housing
c) 12 of the 30 dwellings are to be small units i.e. 1 or 2 bedrooms. Small housing can be provided in affordable housing.
d) A suitable access shall be provided from College Ride together with improvements to Church Road.
e) The carrying out of a full assessment under the National Habitats and Conservation Regulations.
As part of the preparation of the Brief, a consultation exercise was undertaken involving local residents, amenity societies, housing developers and government bodies.
