Yorktown Landscape Strategy Supplementary Planning Document

What is the Yorktown Landscape Strategy Supplementary Planning Document?

The Yorktown Landscape Strategy Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) will form part of the Local Development Framework for Surrey Heath. The Landscape Design Strategy provides a landscape framework to guide development in the Yorktown area of Camberley.

The SPD is intended to add further detail to policies G4, G23, E2, E6 and UE5 of the Surrey Heath Local Plan 2000. The document provides detailed planning guidance which aims to:

• Create a structured landscape setting for the Yorktown area, including the approaches to Camberley along the London Road (A30) and the Blackwater Valley Road.
• Create a structure for the built environment in the business parks and industrial estates of the area and along the London Road.
• Facilitate the improvement of landscape quality in the residential area to the west of Frimley Road.

Yorktown Landscape Strategy Supplementary Planning Document - adopted version

Following the Consultation exercise on the draft SPD, the SPD was adopted by the Council's Executive on 15th April 2008. A Consultation Statement was also produced setting out the consultation process followed and how the issues identified were addressed in the SPD.
