The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) is the Councils' commitment to consulting the community on planning issues including the LDF and planning applications. The Council has already consulted a wide range of local organisations on what should be included in the SCI.
The Council submitted the Statement of Community Involvement to The First Secretary of State in March 2005. The closing date for representations was Friday 13th May. 
The report of the Planning Inspector was received on 10th December and this required the Council to make a number of changes to the Statement of Community Involvement.

A revised Statement of Community Involvement was submitted to the Executive in February 2006 for adoption.
