Young skaters recently joined forces with local Police Officers and Surrey Heath Borough Council's Greenspaces team to spruce up their favourite hang out. The skate park at Crabtree Recreation Ground, Camberley is well used and therefore needs to be kept in a good condition.
Using paint and materials supplied by the Council, the team cleaned up the ugly graffiti on the skate ramp, applied new paint, did an extensive litter pick and made the skate park and the surrounding area look a lot tidier.
The Skate Park has been open since 2005 and is very popular with children and teenagers in the borough.
Police Community Support Officer for Watchetts and St Michaels Susan Spencer said: "the young people have taken ownership of the skatepark and there has been no graffiti since."
