Surrey Heath Borough Council has announced that the planning applications for demolition of existing buildings and the erection of a mosque at 282 London Road, Camberley will be considered by the Full Council on Wednesday March 10.
The meeting will start at 7pm and due to the high public interest will be held at the Camberley Theatre on Knoll Road, which can accommodate around 380 members of the public, whereas the council chamber has a capacity of 150.
Doors will open from 6pm and seating will be limited to safe capacity of the Auditorium. Tickets will be issued as people enter the theatre on a first-come first-served basis.
This meeting will consider the two applications for 282 London Road only.
The council's public participation scheme will be actioned in accordance with the council's decision made at its meeting on February 17. Three speakers and one residents' association speaker can speak in objection and the applicant and three speakers can speak in support of the application for the erection of a mosque. One speaker and one residents' association speaker can speak in objection and the applicant can speak in support of the application for demolition of existing buildings after Conservation Area Consent.
Those people who have sent representations to the council will be notified of the arrangements for public speaking.
