Surrey Heath Borough Council and Surrey Chambers of Commerce joined forces to help local businesses grow by hosting a special networking event this week.
More than 60 delegates came to the Grow For It event which gave businesses an opportunity to meet over a light breakfast and get free advice from a wide range of experts in areas such as law, finance, recruitment and marketing.
Speakers at the event were Simon Matthews from Business Link - a business advice and support service - and business improvement consultant Paula Beattie from Paula Beattie Enterprises.
Open to businesses in Surrey Heath and the surrounding area, the event took place on October 21 at the Camberley Theatre.
Leader of Surrey Heath Borough Council Cllr Moira Gibson said: "Grow For It focused on networking, sharing ideas and building contacts with likeminded business people.
"The feedback we have received following the event has all been very positive; with many of those attending saying they found it extremely worthwhile. We aim to build on this success by organising more business networking events in the future."
Grow For It followed the Credit Crunch Bite Back event in June, also organised by the council.
