Meet Roary the recycling tiger, Surrey Heath Borough Council's latest recruit who has been enlisted to help spread the word about the council's new recycling and refuse scheme to be introduced this September.
The Roary roadshow will be appearing at numerous locations across the borough, where he and his friends will be talking to residents about the new scheme and offering advice and information about what they can expect when the scheme changes.
Visit Roary at one of the following locations:
APRIL
Saturday 18 at 10am to 3pm - The Atrium, Camberley
Saturday 25 at 10am to 3pm - The Mall, Camberley
MAY
Saturday 2 at 10am to 4pm - Frimley Lodge Park
Monday 4 at 11am to 5pm - Chobham Recreation Ground
Saturday 16 - Bagshot Town Centre
JUNE
Saturday 13 - Tringham Hall and Recreation Ground, West End
Sunday 28 at 1pm to 5pm - Bisley Village Green
JULY
Sunday 12 - Frimley Green Carnival
Cllr Vivienne Chapman, portfolio holder for recycling and said: "The new waste scheme will have a huge impact on Surrey Heath's residents and the way in which they dispose of their household waste and with the help of Roary we hope to make the transition from black bag to wheeled bin as easy as possible."
