Surrey Heath residents can have their say on the types of new infrastructure they believe is needed in the Borough.
As part of the new style Local Development Framework (LDF) being prepared by Surrey Heath Borough Council, an Infrastructure Development Plan Document (DPD) is being compiled which will set out what community and physical infrastructure is needed in the future and how it should be provided.
The DPD will consider responses to a questionnaire which residents are currently being encouraged to complete.
The questionnaire looks at all types of infrastructure including roads and footpaths, public transport, parks and recreation areas, cycling provision and community facilities such as day centres and youth clubs, and asks questions such as, what people think of the current provision and if there are particular sites they would like to suggest could house new facilities.
Portfolio Holder for Customer Care Cllr Vivienne Chapman said: "This is an important document which will help shape the Borough's future. We want to receive feedback from as many people as possible to find out what they believe the priorities should be."
More information about the DPD and the questionnaire. Or find out more by going to any of the libraries in the Borough or calling Andrew Triggs on 01276 707215. The closing date for comments is 29 December 2006.
The LDF is the Government's replacement for the old style local plan and will address planning issues up to the year 2016.
