The Friends of Surrey Heath Museum society was founded in 1987 to support and publicise the work of the Museum, and to raise money for conservation and purchases for the collection. This is their 20th anniversary year.

The Friends of the Museum enjoy a varied programme, which includes regular outings to places of historic interest, and guest lectures, combined with evening viewings of current exhibitions. They also assist with occasional special museum projects, help to publicise the museum service and produce an annual Newsletter.
