Heritage Open Days

What are Heritage Open Days?
Heritage Open Days are in September each year and were introduced to celebrate our national architecture and culture by allowing visitors free access to a wealth of properties that are not usually open or normally charge an entrance fee. Special tours events and activities are often available at this time. The initiative is co-ordinated by English Heritage. The scheme is made possible because of a great deal of voluntary support nationwide.
