At Surrey Heath Borough Council we are keen to support both clubs and individuals in Surrey Heath in developing their sport. Because of this we want to ensure that you are aware of the options available to you and your sports club in terms of funding advice and support.

The Community Foundation for Surrey is an independent charitable Trust raising the level of giving and building permanent community funds. It awards grants to local community and voluntary groups who make a real difference to peoples lives and the quality of life in their communities. These grants are awarded from a growing programme of charitable funds established by individuals, families, companies and trusts who want to support local community projects in Surrey. Surrey County Playing Fields Association (SCPFA) encourages the provision of recreational facilities for all age groups. SCPFA offers grants and loans to sports organisations throughout the year to ensure the needs of village communities in Surrey are met. Cash4Clubs is a sports funding scheme, enabling sports clubs to apply for grants to improve facilities, gain coaching qualifications or to develop a sustainable club. Use this link to apply for Cash4Clubs Sports Grants up to £1,000.

Awards for All is a lottery grants programme aimed at local communities. It provides grants between £500-£5,000. It funds projects that enable people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities, as well as projects that promote education and health in the community. You can contact the South East Regional Office for an application pack and more information on 01483 568764. This scheme provides grants of up to £5,000 to your club for this purpose.

Surrey Heath Sports Council represents the opinions of local sports groups. The Borough Council grant aids the Sports Council and in turn the Sports Council grant aids local sports groups and individuals. The Sports Council is made up of volunteers appointed from a variety of community sports organisations and meets six times per year. All sports organisations actively operating or intending to operate within the Borough can apply for membership of the Sports Council.
