Surrey Heath In Bloom 2013

Borough in Bloom LogoSurrey Heath In Bloom just keeps on growing! This year a bigger, better event is encouraging green fingered residents to get planting ready for the 20th annual competition.

Organised by Surrey Heath Borough Council, the competition is the borough's gardening contest which encourages local people to enhance their outdoor environment through the imaginative use of flowers, shrubs, crops and landscaping. There are 3 new categories including Best Scarecrowl and Best School Grow Your Own. To give children a chance to try out for the new categories, this year's launch took place at Pineridge School with pupils taking part in an interactive workshop.

This year there are nine categories to choose from so there are lots of opportunities for people of all ages to make the borough more beautiful. As well as the new categories there are best front garden, best hanging basket, best school garden and the best "in-bloom" photo.

The Best Wildlife GardenEntry is free; with the chance to win a fantastic prize, from one of our valued sponsors. You can pick up your entry form from Surrey Heath House, libraries or you can download a copy here.
