The Blackwater Valley area lies on the boundaries of Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey, and comprises 14 miles of the Blackwater River Valley, stretching from Eversley in the north to Weybourne in the south. Like a green finger, it runs through a range of scenery from open countryside to urban landscape.
The Surrey Heath section includes the development of informal parks on reclaimed land at Blackwater Park and Watchmoor. Water recreation has developed on the lakes to the south of Frimley Bridges, including Coleford Bridge Lake. The entire valley is linked by a footpath route, with interesting walks and views.
