Since 2007 Surrey Heath has operated a pilot recycling collection service for blocks of flats, warden assisted properties and properties with shared bin store areas. The service has proved very popular and has been running at full capacity thanks to everyone's efforts.

From this experience, Surrey Heath is aware that the recycling and refuse service provided to houses using wheeled bins will not necessarily be appropriate to flats or properties with shared bin store areas.

Although we are aware of many of the issues, we will still need to work closely with residents. Over the coming months we aim to work together with committees to provide the best possible method of storage and collection for both recycling and refuse.
