Bulky Waste Collection Service

Large Appliance IconSurrey Heath Borough Council offer a Bulky Waste Collection for items such as dishwashers, washing machines, microwave ovens and cookers. There is a charge for this service (see below).

If you have any large items of furniture etc you wish to be collected, please ring us and we will arrange for it to be collected.

 

If your are having a new appliance delivered, it is worth checking with the retailer to see if they offer a collection service for old appliances as they have a (producer) responsibility under the WEEE directive.

Note: Items such as 3 piece suites are counted as 3 items and not one.  They will be charged for accordingly.

NB There may be reduced rate for persons receiving:

1) Housing Benefit or Department of Works and Pensions (DWP) Income Support
2) Registered disabled, if sole occupier of dwelling

Up to 5 items:

House / garage clearance:from £175.00
Collection of dead domestic pet:£42.00


All items to be collected need to be placed externally so that the collectors do not have to enter any building. If you are elderly or disabled, it may be possible to arrange for the collection to be made from inside the house.

Where the number of items, or type of waste to be collected is outside the description above, it may be necessary to arrange for an Environmental Services officer to visit the property.

Alternatively, you can take bulky items to either of the Community Recycling Centres (CRC) in the borough or donate items for reuse.
