Environmental Health operate a Bulky Household Refuse collection service. If you have any large items of furniture etc you wish to be collected, please ring us and we will arrange for it to be collected.

Metal goods and computers will be collected on Mondays and non metal goods on Tuesdays.

If you cannot reuse your unwanted items at home, you might like to donate them to a charitable voluntary / community organisation (VCO) that specialises in collecting mostly bulky, high quality household items and passing them on to low income families and other disadvantaged local people.

One item only (which includes a non-refundable administration cost of £14)	£29.00
Each additional item: Note: Items such as 3 piece suites are counted as 3 items and not one. They will be charged for accordingly.	£14.00
NB There may be reduced rate for persons receiving: 1) Housing Benefit or Department of Works and Pensions (DWP) Income Support 2) Registered disabled, if sole occupier of dwelling Up to 5 items:	£31.00
House / garage clearance:	from £160.00
Collection of dead domestic pet:	£40.00

All items to be collected need to be placed externally so that the collectors do not have to enter any building. If you are elderly or disabled, it may be possible to arrange for the collection to be made from inside the house.

Where the number of items, or type of waste to be collected is outside the description above, it may be necessary to arrange for an Environmental Services officer to visit the property.
