Your Green Recycling Bin

The Recycling Collection Service covers a wide range of materials that can be recycled, listed below. All of these materials can be put in your green recycling bin or taken to recycling sites and centres around the borough.

Please remember we do collect excess recycling- simply leave it next to your recycling bin on collection day in a bag or a box.

Material/item	Examples
Paper & card If you can rip it, you can recycle it!	Newspapers/magazines, Cardboard packaging Please remember to remove any polystyrene from cardboard boxes
Cartons	Both foil-lined and 'waxed' cartons can be recycled
Plastic packaging	plastic bottles pots & tubs trays plastic bags (stretchable) plastic wrapping Find out more about about the different types of plastic you can recycle
Cans & Aerosols	Both Aluminium and steel can can be recycled. Examples include; food tins fizzy drink cans You can also recycle Aerosols
Foil	aluminium foil (sheet) aluminium trays
Glass	Bottles Jars Remember there are bottle banks around the borough if you want to recycle your glass separately. Find your nearest recycling site
