Clinical Waste Collections

Surrey Heath Borough Council provides a free service for the collection of clinical waste from domestic households, every Thursday.

Clinical Waste includes soiled surgical dressings, swabs and infectious waste

Clinical waste is collected in special yellow bags or, in the case of sharps and needles, in a special yellow box. bags and boxes are supplied free of charge and are delivered to new customers every Thursday.

Any resident who wishes to use this service may apply to the council, either by letter to the Environmental Services Department, or telephone 01276 707330.

Refuse bin lidIf the service needs to be suspended temporarily please inform Environmental Services of dates for suspension and resumption.

Please note
Items used to dispose of urine, faeces and other bodily secretions can be disposed of in the official SHBC grey refuse bin. This includes used disposable bed pan liners, incontinence pads, stoma bags, catheter bags/tubes and urine containers.
