Surrey Heath Flooding Advice

Unfortunately, flooding and drainage problems can be complicated, with responsibility of maintenance often falling to the land owners or adjacent land owners of the watercourse.

The following listing is not definitive as characteristics of each watercourse dictate the responsibility. In most cases, it should help direct you to the correct agency in an Emergency.

Please have a good description of the location ready to enable a quicker response.

Any flooding on the Highway (including footpaths) should be reported to Surrey County Council Highways on 03456 009009 in order for appropriate safety measures to be taken.
