If your pet goes missing and is micro chipped the Network of Scanners held by the police, Local Authority's dog wardens' vets and RSPCA will be able of identify your pet's unique chip number and re-unite you with your pet.

How much does it cost?
To get your pet microchipped the cost is £15 from Surrey Heath Borough Council's Dog Warden. The Dog Warden will visit the owners home to provide this service.

How old must my dog be?
Your dog must be over 12 weeks old.

The Council can undertake this service for a charge. Dogs must have an identity tag and must be kept on leads whilst on the highway. Strays are always impounded.
