There are a number of ways to reduce the amount of waste.

The "Love Food, Hate Waste" campaign aims to raise awareness of the need to reduce the amount of food that we throw away, and how by doing some easy and practical things in the home we will benefit our purses and the environment.
Have a clean plate at the end of meal.
To throw away less is a far better deal
Choose to re-use. Bags, bottles, trays and tubs- can all be re-used.

Is it broken and battered, totally beyond repair...?
Or is it in good condition and can be re-used elsewhere.

You could have a wormery - just remember, worms don't like onions or citrus fruit!
Recycle all you can. There are lots of opportunities to recycle a whole variety of materials. Paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, cartons, foil, textiles, shoes, glass bottles & jars to name but a few!
