Recycling Books & CDs

Using any of the Book and Music Banks in Surrey Heath is a great way to help support the British Heart Foundation Opens in a new window. Banks accept good quality;

• Books (including hardbacks)
• CDs
• DVDs
• Records

This is a good opportunity to say a very big 'thank you' to everyone that has used these facilities- your donations have made a valuable contribution. Surrey Heath Borough Council has been working with The British Heart Foundation (BHF) to steadily to introduce more banks across the borough.

NEW for Summer 2008!
Two new Book and Music Banks have just been installed. These are located at the following recycling sites:

• Knoll Road (behind Camberly Theatre), Camberley
• Briars Centre, Briar Avenue, Lightwater

Book and Music Banks can also be found at recycling sites listed below:

• Bisley
• Camberley (selected sites)
• Frimley Green
• Mytchett
• Deepcut

CD Recycling
If your CDs or DVDs are not suitable for resale, your may be able to think of a second use. Alternatively, if you cannot re-use them, CDs and DVDs can be reprocessed to reclaim the polycarbonate and metallic elements. The Laundry Opens in a new window(registered charity) offers recycling - simply post off your CDs and they will do the rest!
