OFSTED Early Years Directorate
OFSTED (Office for Standards in Education Opens in a new window) is the government department that inspects schools throughout England. OFSTED Early Years Directorate are responsibile for regulation and inspection of providers of daycare for under 8's. OFSTED carry out registration and inspection of day nurseries, sessional groups, crèches, out of school facilities and childminders for children under 8 years of age.
