Surrey Heath Borough Councils website received a rating as one of the top 20 council websites in the country according to the prestigious SOCITM (Society for Information Technology Managers) Better Connected 2008 report published on March 1 2008.

Surrey Heath was ranked in the top 20 most developed council websites obtaining better results than some much larger unitary, metropolitan and county council websites.

The annual SOCITM report is the government benchmark for comparing all 468 local authority websites based on content, usability, functionality and accessibility.
