Work Experience at Surrey Heath Borough Council

Surrey Heath Borough Council values the importance of work experience and welcomes applications from people who live in and around the Borough.

Placements can be in any of our service areas and we would like to help you find the best place for you, by encouraging you to search our website to find out more about the services Surrey Heath Borough Council provides. The length of placement can vary to suit the needs of applicants but will often be for one working week. Working hours are normally 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. On the first day students are asked to come to the Surrey Heath House Main Reception to be collected.

The Council has open plan offices, a rest area and is a few minutes' walk from Camberley Town Centre. If any site visit is arranged, students will always be accompanied by a member of staff and safety equipment will always be provided.

What Happens Next?

Once we receive your application it will then be circulated to the relevant service Manager to see if they can accommodate you.
When a response is received, you are then contacted by a member of the Human Resources team to confirm arrangements
