More information

Pembroke Corner - The Atrium CamberleyThe Atrium Camberley has a range of shops Opens in a new window facing directly on to Park Street and leisure facilities including a 9 screen cinema, bowling, health and fitness club, cafés and restaurants. There is also lift and escalator access to and from the new car park (683 spaces). The atrium area is family-orientated and there are no dedicated pubs or bars on the 7 acre site. The Atrium Camberley is situated west of The Main Shopping Centre and Park Street, Camberley town centre. Park Street itself has been pedestrianised, with new paving, benches and trees.

The Atrium - which derives its name from the light, glass focal space at the centre of the development - offers 217 design-led and well-priced apartments. The selection of one and two bedroom luxury apartments are located at three areas, which are called Centro, Aspect and Courtyard. These apartments went on sale in January 2007.

Atrium ArtworkPublic Art
The council agreed the design of the main artwork for Park Street and commissioned artist Rick Kirby to create it during the Autumn 2008. The art takes the form of three figures erected high on a triangular shaft. The materials used are stainless steel.

Background
Plans for 'The Atrium' were formally ratified by Surrey Heath Borough Council on 12th December 2005 following an earlier resolution to grant consent, so that work can begin on these exciting mixed-use proposals that are set to change the face of Camberley. Work started on site in September 2006 and The Atrium was opened to the public on 14th November 2008.
