Work Experience

This page is for students currently attending local educational institutions and who are looking for short placements as part of their course or former students wishing to undertake unpaid placements to support their qualifications. If you have an enquiry regarding paid placements or apprenticeships, please see our job adverts for current vacancies or email recruitment@surreyheath.gov.uk.

Work Experience at Surrey Heath Borough Council
The Council values the importance of work experience and welcomes applications from people who live in and around the Borough.

Placements can be in any of our service areas and we would like to help you find the best place for you, by encouraging you to search our website to find out more about the services Surrey Heath Borough Council provides. The length of placement can vary to suit the needs of applicants but will often be for one working week. Working hours are normally 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. On the first day students are asked to come to the Surrey Heath House Main Reception to be collected.

The Council has open plan offices, a rest area and is a few minutes' walk from Camberley Town Centre. If any site visit is arranged, students will always be accompanied by a member of staff and safety equipment will always be provided.
