The Council has received an unqualified audit report on its annual Statement of Accounts for 2008/09. These set out its financial activities for the year and its overall financial position. The information below is intended to give you an illustration of these accounts and to show how the council spent your money during the year.

The gross actual spend in 2008/09 was £37.5 million, £7.06 million of which was funded by the Council Tax.

The pie charts below show how this money was spent and how this was financed. In addition the Council spent £3.01 million on improving its assets.

The full audited Statement of Accounts and a summary of them are due to be published by the end of November and will be available to download free from the council's website or can be purchased directly from the council.
