Filming in Surrey Heath

Many production companies request permission to film at various locations such as a town or village centre, park, common land or other place of interest in the Surrey Heath area.

As long as you are not on a public highway (for which a licence is required from Surrey County Council Opens in a new window) or causing disruption to the public, these requests will generally be allowed. If you would like to film on private land, you will require the permission of the landowner.

Surrey Heath Borough Council is also working with Film Surrey Opens in a new window, which has been set up to promote, manage and encourage locations in Surrey to be used by a broad range of media producers from photographers and agencies to TV and film production companies.
