The Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places (Parliamentary Elections) Regulations 2006
The above regulations require Surrey Heath Borough Council to carry out a review of its Polling Districts and Polling Places (buildings used as a polling station or for several polling stations) on a regular four-yearly cycle.
We are looking for feedback on any aspect of polling districts or polling places currently used and invite representation and comments from interested persons.
Local political parties and Councillors will be consulted and views invited from electors within the Surrey Heath Parliamentary Constituency as well as such persons as may have particular expertise in relation to premises or facilities for persons who have different forms of disability.
The consultation period for the review will commence on Friday 8th July 2011 and end on Friday 12th August 2011.
Although the review is of polling districts and polling places it is accepted that polling places are inexorably linked to the review and comments are invited regarding those stations currently used and/or any suggested alternatives.
