Councillor Ian Sams

I have represented Frimley on the Borough Council since 1979. I have been Chairman of the Recreation and Amenities Committee, The Housing Sub Committee and am now Chairman of the Leisure and Environment Scrutiny Committee. It was my privilege and pleasure to be Mayor in 2003/4 when my wife, Salma, my colleagues and many residents, enabled me to assist Frimley Children's Centre to purchase an Echocardiogram.

I have taken a close interest in the development of recreation during my term of office. I enjoy playing bass guitar, gardening and exhibitions of Impressionist, Cubist and Surrealist paintings. My ambition is to help the Council develop and maintain an environment in which all residents can achieve their aspirations.

I would be delighted to meet residents on a one to one basis or in groups and welcome enquiries and suggestions.
