Councillor Wynne Price

Cllr Wynne PriceHaving lived in Bisley since 1983, I have been an active member of the community for many years and been elected to a number of posts including treasurer of Bisley PTA, school governor and church warden. I was first elected Borough Councillor for Bisley in May 2003 and re-elected last May.

Within Surrey Heath Borough Council I have been the Executive Portfolio Holder for Arts and Leisure. This means that I took the lead within the Council's Executive Committee on matters to do with the Camberley Theatre, Arena Leisure Centre, our open spaces and playing fields, town twinning, etc.

Previously I have been Vice-Chairman of the Policy & Audit Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Leisure Committee, and sat on Planning Committee and on the Licencing Committee.

I am a member of a number of Working Parties including one which is reviewing the Council's constitution and another which is drawing up the "Local Development Framework" - a set of rules which will govern development in the borough over the medium term.

I represent the Borough on a number of outside bodies including Surrey Heath Sports Association, Surrey Playing Fields and Chobham Common Liaison.

But whilst these roles are important in making sure the Borough is managed efficiently, equally important is my role in representing the residents of Bisley. Therefore I am always happy to assist residents whenever I can. Whether its advice before applying for planning permission, or problems with planning, licensing, noise, council tax, environmental health, bins, etc. or concerns and complaints about the councils bureaucracy, then I'm here, please do contact me. Give me a ring, write or send me an email and I will be happy to pop round for a chat.
