Emergency Services

If you have any emergency outside our general opening times, including weekends and public holidays, the council's Emergency Service can be contacted by telephoning 01276 707100.

Calls will be diverted to a dedicated live answering service. Calls to the answering service are noted and, if necessary, the information is passed to a relevant duty officer to deal with. Non urgent matters will be referred to the relevant council department the next working day.

For refuse complaints, there is a dedicated but different telephone number, 01276 707182, which will record details of the complaint. This answering machine is checked each morning and afternoon on weekdays and checked by a duty officer approximately every two hours at weekends.
