Contact Councillor Rodney Bates
I was elected to serve in Old Dean Ward in May 2007 having previously represented the area of Watchetts between 1999 and 2003 and am currently the Labour Group Leader.
My main Council interests are as follows:-
Improving communities particularly in terms of resident engagement
Dealing with issues of crime and disorder
Improving facilities and opportunities for young people
I currently serve on the Policy & Audit Scrutiny and the Licensing Committees as well as the Camberley Town Centre Strategic Working Group.
Outside of Surrey Heath, I am employed by another local authority as the supervisor of their community safety warden scheme. In my remaining spare time, Outside work, I enjoy playing and watching cricket and play an active role in my local church.
Please feel free to contact me about any relevant matter - the best way of doing so would be via e-mail or by using the contact form to ask a question.
