Councillor Liane Gibson

I have lived in Windlesham since moving to the UK in 2004 from Sydney Australia. I am married to Wayne Henderson who is a Windlesham Parish Councillor and was born and grew up in the UK . We have two children Rex and Eleanor both aged 10.

I wanted to be actively involved in my local community and was privileged to be elected in 2007 to represent the people of Windlesham Ward at Surrey Heath Borough Council and Windlesham Parish Council. I am interested in the environment and concerned about the problems involved in protecting the environment. I have spent much of my first year as a councillor getting involved with the working groups on waste. Waste management is a dynamic, quickly evolving area with great challenges regarding everyday changes that affect us all.

I am a member on the following Committees and Working Groups:
Community Scrutiny Committee. (Vice-Chairman)
Leisure and Environment Scrutiny Committee
Verdant Consultative Committee
The Camberley Theatre Working group
Waste Working Group
