It's a pleasure and an honour to have been elected in May 2007 to represent Lightwater.
I've lived in Lightwater, with my wife Jany, for over 20 years, particularly enjoying its easy access to the countryside. For the past five years I've supported the Lightwater Country Park Rangers as a conservation volunteer, helping them on one day a week during their winter works heathland management programme.
I'm particularly keen to ensure Lightwater and Surrey Heath maintain a vibrant and mixed business economy. As a committee member of the Lightwater Business Association I help make local business play its part in supporting the Lightwater village community.
My recent background has been in sales and marketing for a number US and UK computer software businesses, with an earlier working life in large manufacturing businesses in manufacturing management and systems improvement.
I enjoy where I live and want to see it prosper and improve, and am using my efforts to improve Lightwater's car parking provision, flooding resilience and village centre amenities.
To keep residents in Lightwater informed about my activities and interests I maintain an online diary - or blog, which can be viewed at lightwater.wordpress.com, and to which anyone can add comments online.
Do please contact me by phone, email, or letter, or through my blog, and I'll be pleased to help where I can.
