Surrey Heath House,
Knoll Road,
Camberley,
Surrey GU15 3HD
The local population is highly mobile with 54.8% of households having 2 or more cars (national average is 29.42%) and 72.3% travelling to work by car (only 6.6% using public transport). The accessibility to the M3/ M25 increases the mobility of the population but also increases the congestion. Transport is identified as a key issue in the Community Plan. Surrey County Council is the transportation authority; therefore the Borough Council has no statutory responsibility for this service.
However, the Borough Council is working in partnership, with the County Council, where possible, to identify priority areas, and is contributing to both current and future transportation planning as well as specific projects and future schemes through the Local Development framework which will replace the Local Plan.
