The old Local Strategic Partnership and the Safer Surrey Heath Partnership have joined together to form the 'New' Surrey Heath Partnership (SHP). The SHP is a single body that brings together different parts of the public sector as well as the business, community and voluntary sectors to work together for the community of Surrey Heath.
As a new Partnership we've produced a new Sustainable Community Strategy. In support of the Strategy we've developed projects based around the Strategy's themes (see below). The SCS will be the main document for the work of the Partnership. It sets out short, medium and long term aims for the area, has been developed out of consultation and forms the cornerstone of our work.
| Children and Young People | Aims and priorities |
|---|---|
| Old Dean | The aim of the Old Dean Priority Group project is to co-ordinate partners in coming together to address priorities as identified by the data and the frontline services in the Old Dean area. Most of concern are issues affecting children and young people (including their parents), and work to support and enhance the capacity of the front line (housing, health, education). |
| North West Children's Alliance | The Every Child Matters project is still in development although it has been confirmed that it will be focusing on less acute mental health services and looking at wider issues of general mental well-being. |
| Health and Wellbeing | Aims and Priorities |
|---|---|
| Communicating Health | The Surrey Heath (SH) Health Traders project involves local SH people trading ideas on how they keep healthy to create a directory. |
| Housing, Infrastructure and Environment | Aims and Priorities |
|---|---|
| Transport for Surrey Heath | The overall aim of the Transport for SH project is to work to improve the transport arrangements for the Surrey Heath community to, from, in and around the Borough. The Key objectives are: Co-ordination of transport infrastructure strategy and improvement in the borough Raising the profile of the Borough's transport needs with key decision makers Attracting investment in transport infrastructure improvement into the Borough Gaining synergy by linking together the work of key transportation stakeholders |
| Safer and Stronger Communities | Aims and Priorities |
|---|---|
| Camberley Together Against Crime (CTAC) | The aim of the CTAC scheme is to bring together all the users in the town centre to tackle anti-social behaviour and crime. The proposed town centre membership scheme is two fold: Information sharing between members and Statutory Service Providers about persistent offenders to prevent crime Radio network to react to incidents as and when they occur To incorporate the night-time economy through Pub watch |
| Street Angels | The aim of the Street Angels Project is to provide a calming effect on the night time economy consumers. This will provide reassurance to the public. They will also be able to be of assistance to vulnerable individuals thus freeing up the time and resources of the emergency services thereby preventing eventual crime and disorder. |
| Economic Development | Aims and Priorities |
|---|---|
| Skills and Employment | The aim of the Skills and Employment project is to enable existing and future employees to enhance their personal skills for the benefit of the community as a whole through training and seminars, focussed funding and support from the partners and employers in Surrey Heath Borough. |
We have our own Sustainable Community Strategy but there's also a County wide Strategy encompassing the above themes and each local area needs to support the work across the County in areas where it can have an input.
