Care and Repair Service

Many elderly people are worried about minor repairs and installations, either because they cannot manage the hourly rates asked by trades people, or because they feel vulnerable when admitting them to their homes. Camberley Care Opens in a new window has long seen the need for a scheme that would provide such a service to these members of the community by a person they can trust and at prices they can afford.

The Surrey Heath Handyman Service (Care and Repair Service) has been set up with the financial support of a grant from the Surrey Heath Primary Care Group who will be monitoring the project.

On behalf of our clients, we would like to thank Surrey Heath PCT for its generous financial support, which will make a huge difference to a very vulnerable part of our society, improving their security and quality of life.

What to do next
If you would like to use our service, just call the office on 01276 707692 and tell us what you need. Our handyman will then ring you back to make an appointment and to discuss your exact requirements. He will then give a free estimate.

What will the service cost?
There will be an hourly charge for the service (minimum 1 hour) plus the cost of any materials needed, (including the time involved in buying and collecting).

Payment must be made direct to the Handyman when the work is complete. A receipt will be provided.

We are not an emergency service, but will do our best to respond as soon as possible.

The handyman will not take on large jobs such as electrical or gas repairs that need a qualified engineer.
