About the scheme 

The emergency food, fuel and energy grant scheme aims to support local-not-for-profit groups delivering services to those experiencing hardship in the Borough.  

This scheme is in addition to any existing funding streams, such as free school meals provided by the Government, and is not designed to replace them.

Who can apply 

The organisation must be a constituted group, a registered charity, Charitable Incorporated Organisation, Community Interest Company with their own bank account and two signatories. 

Applications are restricted to Surrey Heath borough only. 

Funding closing date 

The scheme is currently open until 31 March 2024. It is discretionary and may be withdrawn at any time, or when the funds are exhausted. 

Application process 

A copy of the last bank statement and financial accounts are required. 

Please clearly identify how this bid will help meet the local need via a foodbank, or with meeting fuel/energy costs when setting up a ‘warm bank’ type of initiative. 

 Applications to include a clear plan providing information relating to timescales, locations, total costs, community benefits and any others who have been approached to fund this work. 

In completing this application you confirm that this work/project does not duplicate other local services being provided. 

There is a maximum limit of £5,000 per application or organisation for either food or fuel/energy cost.
