Ian Goodchild Centre A full programme of consultation will begin in December 2009, starting with the 100 plus registered service users and centre staff. Consultation with local groups and the wider community will then follow in the New Year.

Consultation Jan 2010, with 100 service users, carers and centre staff. Consultation launch March 2010 with stakeholders and the wider community. March 2010, surveys sent to 10% of the borough's households, selected at random. On line Survey. March 2010, impact survey with service users focusing on the impact of proposed changes on people with disabilities.

The results of the surveys have been incorporated into the current service reviews and the IGC consultation.

Business Breakfast This event is an opportunity for businesses in Surrey Heath to join members and staff in consulting, networking and discussing current issues in the borough.Meeting / Networking Events

The meeting was held around a leisure theme and welcomed 150 delegates from around the borough who enjoyed an informative morning networking with other businesses.

Housing Service -Customer Satisfaction Survey (action from Equality Impact Assessment)Postal survey. Satisfaction questionnaires are sent to customers to gauge customer perception of the service both in terms of its effectiveness but also in terms of meeting the needs of the different equality groups.Data currently being evaluated.April 2010
Options for facilities for the Heatherside community particularly young people.Displays, public meetings and questionnaires.
Over 2,000 surveys returned. The preferred option was the village green and skate park with 24.9% responses. 80% of residents said they prefer to see something developed. Residents also expressed view that children's play area should be updated which will now form part of project (which is now subject to planning permission). SHP agreed project and funding. Village Green working group set up to involve residents in designs. Young People to be involved in skate park designs. Equality Impact assessment on the project involving people with disabilities.

Meals on Wheels, Helpline and Dial a Ride -Stakeholder briefings on options for Meals on wheels, day care centres and community transport
Approximately 60 responses were received for each of the service areas and the results of the surveys have been incorporated into the current service reviews.

Heathscene Magazine consultation

Survey.
337 responses to the survey. A wide range of groups responded to the survey, including a wide range of ethnic minority groups. Actions: -Introduce a Youth double page spread. - Link up with Surrey Heath Newspaper for the Blind - Work with Frontline (printer) in their development of an equal opportunities policy - More info relating to local events/community groups and for people with disabilities, such as grants, benefits and employment info. Consult with residents around Equality and Diversity issues relating to Heathscene on a regular basis (every 12-18 months).

Between April and December 2009 we have had 116 replies from businesses: When asked if they felt they were treated fairly: 70 strongly agreed and 43 slightly agreed, When asked if they felt they were treated politely: 83 strongly agreed and 32 slightly agreed, When asked if they felt the officer was knowledgeable: 77 strongly agreed and 37 slightly agreed

Main points: Wooded area and Canal important, concern about roads and Dettingen Park, new development opportunity to create a rural development, 85% said it would need a focal point, St Barbaras Church should be retained and the development should have a village green.
