Joint Housing Allocation Policy
The Council, through its Housing Strategy, has had a long term commitment to develop a Joint Allocation Policy for the Borough which is adopted by all Housing Providers as the route into their accommodation, and for moves between tenancies.
The Council has completed the Homelessness Review, consulted with housing staff both at the Council and Housing Providers and sought the views of 900 Housing Register customers and Transfer tenants.
The resulting draft Joint Allocation Policy is now out for consultation. All applicants who are on the Council's Housing Register and Accent Peerless Transfer List are being asked their views on the Policy, and organisations such as the CAB, housing providers, and social services are also being consulted
