Sheltered Accommodation Information
Available housing opportunities for people over 60
Sheltered housing offers privacy and peace of mind for people over 60 years of age. It is not a care or nursing home - it provides you with a secure home with your own front door, plus the added security of door entry systems and a 24 hour emergency alarm. The accommodation consists of a mixture of one bedroom apartments and studio flats (the studios not being suitable for couples) grouped together in a Court.
Each Court has a Manager who is able to help you access local information and services, and respond to any emergencies. There is the opportunity to join in a variety of social activities, to meet new friends and pursue existing or new interests. None of these activities are compulsory; residents are free to take advantage of as many activities as they like. Sheltered housing also provides other facilities such as laundries, guest flats, communal lounges and gardens.

What is Surrey Heath Home Choice?
Surrey Heath Home Choice is a choice based lettings service. Under choice based lettings it is the customers on the Housing Register who decide which homes they would like to be considered for and not the Council.
The new service is based on a simple three-step process:
- We advertise available homes
- You choose which homes you would like to be considered for
- You bid for those homes

PLEASE NOTE:
Bidding closes at noon on Tuesdays. To protect the privacy of tenants who may still be living in the advertised properties the photographs are of street scenes and not the advertised names.
Note: Only fill in the bidding form once, if you have submitted the form correctly you will receive a message which says Thank you for submitting this form. It has been received by Surrey Heath Borough Council. You can now return to the home page. Your bid has been received and you do not need to take any further action.
