Support for Voluntary Organisations

Every year, Surrey Heath Borough Council gives grants to local voluntary organisations, which provide care, support, advice and counselling to vulnerable people within the community.

The Council recognises that the efforts of local volunteers make a real difference to the quality of life of many people, who would otherwise be disadvantaged.

Surrey Heath House
Surrey Heath Council for Voluntary Service occupies the ground floor of Surrey Heath House in Knoll Road, Camberley, it is home to around a dozen charities that operate throughout Surrey Heath.

Grant Aided Day Centres
There are five day centres in the Borough which are run by voluntary organisations, supported by the Borough Council. Offering a variety of activities and facilities, they provide a vital service for older people, enabling them to meet, share a good meal and take part in the life of their Centre.

The Borough Council gives grants towards the costs of running the centres and management help when needed.
