Surrey County Council has funding available to support local, targeted projects that keep young people participating in education, employment or training.
In particular, the money will support work outside of school with young people of secondary school age who are most at risk of not participating.
The council manages the Windle Valley Centre which gives retired people the opportunity to meet others, enjoy lunch and refreshments and participate in a range of activities.

A national catch-up programme to increase MMR vaccination uptake in children and teenagers has been announced by Public Health England, NHS England and the Department of Health. The aim of the programme is to prevent measles outbreaks by vaccinating as many unvaccinated and partially vaccinated 10-16 year olds as possible in time for the next school year.
